“The Chofetz Chaim told Rav Meir Shapiro that he doesn’t envy the fact that he founded the Daf Yomi; he only envies all the mitzvos that were brought about by this original mitzvah,” said noted Lakewood askan Reb Menashe Frankel, as he opened the recent Acheinu Asifa in Lakewood. “When Rav Dovid Hofstedter founded Acheinu, he brought about so many mitzvos, including the great Dirshu organization that he would later found.”

This message was delivered by Harav Hagaon Rav Michel Yehuda Lefkowitz, zt”l, the venerated Rosh Yeshiva of the Ponovezher Yeshiva L’tzirim in Bnei Brak who was niftar several months ago. Rav Michel Yehuda spent many decades in chinuch atop the global Yeshiva world, but Acheinu occupied a special place in his heart. He served as the mosad’s Nasi and was intimately involved in its activities and the struggles of individual bochurim who were under Acheinu’s care.

Five Towns Community Shows Support for Acheinu at Parlor Meeting
It was merely a few years ago at an Acheinu kinnus when Rav Michel Yehuda rose to speak. In a voice trembling with emotion he said, “Acheinu’s area of expertise is their success in bringing boys so close to Yiddishkeit that they themselves wish to learn in yeshiva!
Assaf won’t be going to Mexico this year. Who is Assaf? Assaf is a teenager, not just any teenager, but a teenager who was one of Israel’s best volleyball players in his age group. In fact, he was slated to further his career in Mexico next year. Instead, he will be involved in a different type of “volleying” - the back and forth volley of intricate Gemaros and sevaros! Assaf has joined Acheinu’s Yeshiva, where he is investing every last bit of his considerable energy into finishing Masechtos.

Acheinu places 1,428 new students Torah schools in 5770.
Some 1,428 Israeli youths and children began the new school year in yeshivos instead of public schools, thanks to the broad array of flagship Acheinu programs which are demonstrating ongoing success in bringing back Israeli youth to a Torah way of life.
My name is Itai. I am seventeen-and-a-half years old and I live in a community near Natanya. Since a year ago, I am learning in Yeshivas ‘Acheinu’.
Rav Malka is the Rosh Yeshiva of the yeshiva in Moshav Achiezer, located near Lod airport, that is geared to boys coming to a yeshiva from weaker or nonobservant backgrounds.
